Hi , I am the Jive Bunny and I have IDC, invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer since March 27th, 2017.
I have been biopsied March 27th, operated on April 26th, chemotherapy 4 times and radiated almost 10 times. But on the 10th day, I had chest pains skipped the radiation at Princess Margaret Cancer Center and went to Toronto General Emergency, entering at 10:00 am -7:30 pm leaving with take 2 Tylenol. Do not go to emergency on a rainy night either, when I injected myself in the wrong spot as part of the cancer treatment and found myself waiting in emergency and having to spend $55.00 for an ambulance to Toronto General. Most homeless on cots in emergency and take two Tylenol later... Not worth it!
Now almost two years later, I still must have chemotherapy every six months for my bones and take pills Tamoxcitra daily for my estrogen plus an anti-depressant daily for the rest of my so-called life.
So now I have a money problem, no money problem. I am sick and tired all the time, with a very low energy level even to venture outside even on a nice sunny day! That seems to be my Breast Cancer Adventure, to find enough money to enjoy the rest of my life in comfort...I found out very fast on how to survive early breast cancer and I was lucky I had that mammogram back in March of 2017,
right before my 65th, "I made it to 65 birthday party" on April 9th. Now two years later I am trying to make it to my 67th birthday. As the Jive Bunny will be 20 years old this year 1999-2019, we have new beginnings, when something is created we always celebrate and Jive Gallery was created in June of 1999. The new Jive Gallery adventure with the twenty year old Jive Bunny is just beginning.
Surviving cancer without the Jive Bunny to make me laugh and cry would not be surviving.
I want to survive breast cancer for more than five years....and I believe in the Jive Bunny and I to do it!
